  • Congratulations to Frank Krevens on his selection to be showcased in the exhibit "The State of Clay" on display at LexArts in Lexington, KY. The exhibit is designed to highlight working Clay Artist Educators in KY. "The State of Clay" is an appropriate title for this exhibition and one that seemed most relevant when presenting the works of faculty artists teaching in both college and university ceramic programs across Kentucky. After all, with a state rich in clay tradition supporting a wide array of ceramics, shining a light on the institutions within academia where students begin their individual clay journeys seems a good place to start. With both colleges and universities serving as an epicenter of clay activities in Kentucky by offering classes, visiting artist lectures and workshops, as well as gallery presentations of clay work. This exhibition helps the viewer develop a sense of the who, what, and where of the academic clay community of our state, therefore, "The State of Clay". - Joe Molinaro, Professor of Art at EKU, Curator. The show opened this past Friday evening and will run until Saturday, October 25th. More information can be found on the attached flyer. Congratulations to Frank! September 4, 2014 3:09:14 PM
